Rachel Zhang

The motif of Rachel's NYFW 2023 S/S collection is "Hope for the future." Rachel believes the future we look forward to is always delightful. As her own childhood memories are filled with happiness, she incorporated her childhood memories and symbolization to represent these concepts. For instance, she used drawings from childhood and pastel colours, and the butterflies in her collection symbolize hopefulness for the future and revival of the future. Throughout the design process, Rachel enjoyed exploring different materials for her designs, such as PVC and organza with childlike doodles. She hopes to be a fashion designer with her own brand and studio.
